dandelion and birds tattoo by fenrirofparadise dandelion and birds tattoo by fenrirofparadise
My first tattoo that I got on my birthday
april 15th

This tattoo actually represents something:

i have a photo of my mom and I when I was little, in a patch of dandelions, and shes giving me one(thus the reason for the dandelion)and some of it flying away stands for apart of myself always being at home, even though I'm flying away on my own.
The three birds where initially going to be fireflies, since when I was little, we would go to Cherokee and I would chase after fireflies at night.
But, I decided to get birds that stood for my mother, father, and brother since the idea of having bugs on my ankle creeped me out haha

I love how it came out,and yes,it was painful.Especially when he was tattooing on top of my shin bone :shudder:

:) tell me what you think.

I think people should be able to get tattoos for any reason at all--including the fact that it just looks nice :) I LOVE the concept of the dandelion tattoo (I'm also partial because I also have one symbolizing my childhood/simplicity with butterflies zipping through it on my shoulder blade), but, unfortunately, this one lacks technique--I can't tell where the seeds are and the line-work throughout the stem and body of the dandelion itself is fuzzy :/ Unfortunately, the dandelion has been done over and over again, but there are some great ones out there. Sorry, but I'm being honest!

I found out that the artist didn't like me because of false assumptions,so he did a crappy job.
it's getting covered up very soon.

I've had the idea for it since middle school

Ah! That's terrible! I'm so sorry :( This could easily be covered up and made better though...for sure. The dandelion is hard to translate into a tattoo because of how awkward it can look---but it can be done with the right artist. Make sure you find an artist that has the style you are looking for, and I wish you the best of luck!

I love that you got this with meaning.. ALOT of people were just getting it for the pure sake of they think it looks nice.. which there is nothing wrong with that it just means so much more when there is a purpos.

Thank you!
I hate it when people do that ><
"Why did you get that one?"
"lol it looks cool"

Most of the time, they're probably going to regret them when they get older ><

It was about $60.00(which is cheap. He gave me a deal because it was my birthday)
Definitely make sure it has meaning. One thing I can't stand is when people get tattoos because they look pretty.Uugh >.<

it does, i did a painting of a girl blowing a dandelion away and was driving home from my moms and ended up getting in a car accident and sent my car spinning and ruined the painting because it wasnt dry. reminded me how easily childhood and innocence could be ruined, ive had it on my mind for a long time and now i get to get it as a tattoo!

Oh,that would look absolutely gorgeous!

I would try to give you an estimate, but it really depends on how big it is,and the tattoo shop you go to.

I love what this tattoo represents, and it's not a "just because" reason. I really like how it turned out, minus your ankle still being puffy in the photo from the session. I'm glad that it has a priceless value.
